About UsCommunity Focus
From the beginning, First National Bank has dedicated itself to the community it calls home - after all, when the community thrives, so does its bank. This commitment includes being involved in some of the largest community outreach and development initiatives around.
Economic Revitalization
In the late 1990s, downtown Omaha was due for some much-needed economic redevelopment. We got the ball rolling with the construction of the $300 million First National Center which includes the tallest building between Chicago and Denver.
Aid to the Underserved Community Members
Recognizing that many members of our community were underrepresented, we opened an inner city loan production office in the heart of North Omaha, providing mortgages and small business loans to individuals who need help getting credit.
Immigrant Assistance
In South Omaha, we started the Centro Latino de Educación Financiera, which provides a largely immigrant population the opportunity to receive financial education and become familiar with the sometimes complicated American banking system.
